Conditions: Sunny, dry afternoon – first warm day in months!!
Type of Run: Easy/Shakeout Run
Commentary: Wow, that’s a really short list! I felt practically naked walking out of the house with so few layers on! 😊 With it having been so cold lately, I honestly wasn’t quite sure how to dress for this run. I had done 13.1 miles the day before, so I assumed it would be a slower run and didn’t want to get chilly, particularly in the shade as there was a bit of a cool breeze. Once I got moving, though, I realized I really kinda overdressed.
I had questioned the vest before leaving the car, but decided to keep it on for the first loop while I warmed up. I ended up ditching it later in the run and pulling my sleeves up all the way – even though it was a HeatGear shirt, it was still trapping too much heat. There were many other people running in shorts and t-shirts/tank tops, and I should have done just the same, just with a long sleeve shirt for the warm up and the drive home. Ah well, hopefully there will be many more warm days to perfect this!
Verdict: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
